Depending on the car and the electrical connection, a wallbox can offer several times higher charging power, so even a larger battery can be comfortably topped up overnight. It also allows charging to be managed intelligently – scheduling it for off-peak tariff periods, or making more efficient use of surplus power from a home solar system, which over the long term helps the original investment pay for itself.
DC chargers deliver higher power, which shortens charging time.
